I am the single mother of an 8 and 10 year old and I recieve no help financially from there father.  I never have acted on trying to get child support because there father has been sick (can't get blood from a turnip).  He now receives Disablility benefits but they said there is not enough for the children to receive any bennifits.  My question is is there anything I can do to get some help financially with the kids?  There father receives a check but it not very much and I have been doing it on my own but they are getting older and more expensive so I am just curious if I can do anything.  Thanks
